A parent-led vision for technology

It’s time to put the power of influence back in parents’ hands.

Naroplay is a sandbox for learning, play and exploration, with parents deciding what belongs. Designed for healthier screen habits, so technology supports childhood instead of taking it over.

Naroplay is a vision for a parent-led way of living with technology. The app is the introduction.

Room to learn. Room to play. Your family’s lead.
The vision behind Naroplay

Parents set the direction.

Parents shouldn’t have to keep up with technology. Technology should follow the parents’ lead.

Naroplay is a vision and a goal for how families live with technology. It’s about a lifestyle in which parents take back control of their family’s tech and choose the role it plays in their lives.

“Technology should follow the parents’ lead.”
One vision. Starting with the app.

Technology that follows your family’s lead.

The app introduces the idea. The longer-term ambition is purpose-built devices designed around parents’ choices.

01 / THE APP Work in progress

An introduction to the vision.

The app introduces Naroplay on phones and tablets families already own. It is being built around parents’ choices and healthier screen habits.

The app is an optional way into the wider vision.

02 / THE BIGGER VISION Longer-term goal

Hardware and software, designed together.

Purpose-built phones, computers and TVs, designed around parents’ choices from the start.

The goal: the most complete experience and strongest protections, with hardware and software built around the same idea.

These are intentions, not availability announcements. Features, designs and plans may change. No product, future feature or release date is promised here.

A note from the founder

Why I’m building Naroplay.

An independent project, starting with a simple belief about who should lead.

Parents shouldn’t have to keep up with technology. Technology should follow the parents’ lead.

I’m married and a father of three. I’m a solo developer building Naroplay to challenge the influence big tech and the internet have over our children. My goal is to put that power of influence back in parents’ hands, with technology that follows their choices instead of leaving them chasing an ever-changing landscape.

Starting with children and families, my long-term vision is to bring that same power of choice to teens and adults, with technology that follows your lead at every stage of life.

Getting there will take time, funding and help.

What I share here, and what you see in the app, is work in progress. Features, designs and plans may change. Sharing an idea or preview isn’t a promise that it will ship, or a commitment to a release date.

I’ll be open about what’s available, what’s being built and what’s still a possibility.
